We know many families have two working adults and we don't expect anyone to be a superhero and quit your day job just to be able to adopt a puppy. Every puppy family has different needs, and this information form helps us identify who needs what information and what homes might make the best fit. This information is kept completely confidential and will never be shared. Thank you for your interest in adopting a Great Lakes French Bulldog!

What to Expect

  • Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Great Lakes French Bulldogs, but it does not guarantee a puppy. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.
  • APPROVAL AND DEPOSIT: Applications are processed in the order they are received. We breed infrequently, so we will only accept deposits when puppies are expected or actually available. Please note our puppies start at $4000 and above. Price is set after puppies are born. A few weeks after the birth of a litter, approved homes will be contacted to make $500 non-refundable deposit on a puppy/litter. Contacts will be made in the order approved applications were received. If you make a deposit, you are committing to adopt a puppy from that litter.
  • YOUR PICK OF PUPPY: Puppies will be chosen in deposit order. GLFB does reserve the right for first pick of a litter. We ask that you make a choice within 48 hours of notification since there may be other families waiting for a chance to choose.
  • CONTRACT: We have a contract that will be sent to you once you've selected a puppy or litter group. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy.
  • REGISTRATION PAPERS: All of our puppies can be registered with the AKC. All registrations are limited AKC, unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon. Very few full registrations are granted through our program. Limited AKC means they are pets and you are not allowed to breed at any time, for any reason. Breeding your limited puppy goes against the puppy contract which is signed at purchase. However, with limited AKC you can still participate in AKC Obedience and Agility, as well as have piece of mind your new puppy is a purebred French Bulldog.
